What to expect at Area 56
Area 56 is upbeat and friendship-oriented. We meet on Saturday nights during our 6:30 p.m. service, Sunday mornings during our 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. services, and on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. during the school year. Each time we meet, we begin with a game and then move to worship. When we worship, we strive to teach the students that worshiping the Lord not only happens through song, but through living our lives for God. After worship, we have a 10-15 minute lesson introducing the topic and scripture for the day. We then break up into gender specific small groups to study the Word of God together, pray, build friendships, and encourage each other. We have spiritually mature leaders mentoring the students and modeling how to follow the Lord in every sphere of life.
Area 56 also has events that are fun, safe, and geared toward building friendships, serving the Lord in ministry, and reaching out to the community. Some of our favorite events include: Friday Game Nights, which include pizza, inflatable games, and video games; overnighters for the girls; and dodge-ball competitions for the boys, which also includes pizza and video games.
